Defining post

My favorite blog carnival has opened up a new category of sharing this week. Jen over at the Conversion Diary requested links to a "defining post" from our blogs--one that really captures the essence of why we write each day.

There were so many snippets from the past two years of my blog's history that show important aspects of who I am and why I write, so it was hard to boil the essence of me, as a mommy blogger, down to just one.

At any rate, I chose this one. It's short, concise and when I read it it makes me feel warm inside and filled with purpose as a mom. It also makes me so thankful that I've been jotting these memories down as we go along.

  1. I think you made a great choice. Honestly, I think about this post of yours sometimes--mostly at bedtime, after a long day, when Chris is gone, and I find myself lingering with the girls. It makes me smile to think that I know how you felt the night you wrote this. It's a beautiful post.

  3. Bedtime is such a sacred time. It ties the whole day together. By far...it is one of my favorite times of the day too! Maybe that is why I am selfish and ask that Marc waits to put Spencer to bed until I get home from work. It is that special time to relax, connect and give end of the day loves!
