As journalist I wrote about small town government and organic cheese farms. Now a decade later, I write about these very full days with four young children and our life on the move with the military. Writing is no longer my profession, but it's still my passion.

Gymnastics
L is in gymnastics camp this week and she's having a ball. She dons her dance leotard right after breakfast, requests pigtails and becomes absolutely giddy in anticipation of the 45-minute class, which doesn't start until after lunch.
I think she has really missed her special activities away from the nest since summer break began. She emerges from the gymnastics class all smiles and is especially sweet to her brother afterward. Yesterday, upon arriving home, she took C up to his room, read him a story, pulled the shades and tucked him in for his nap all by herself.
It's good for them to miss each other every once in a while.

Gymanstics camp sounds fantastic! L is so graceful and pretty (I love this shot of her), and I'm glad she's out having fun with friends!
ReplyDeleteShe is growing so tall with such beautiful long legs and arms. She certainly has a ballerina's body and she's so blessed to have you guys for parents - encouraging her to explore dance and gymnastics. Loves to all.
