Well...until about 11 p.m., which is wee for N and I, we worked away at some projects. We were like elves on Christmas Eve--stitching and painting and baking--creating and repairing things to share with our little ones.
We tuned our ears in to "This American Life" on podcast and Nora Jones radio on Pandora (I was closest to the computer on this occasion).
N tinkered and painted. He also baked this tempting peach-blueberry pie for dinner with friends tonight.
"You're a renaissance man," I told him.
I cleaned, organized and sewed.
We praised each others' efforts and gave honest critiques where they were needed.
We griped about how difficult L had been that evening and marveled at how sweet C was despite having had a late nap that afternoon. Today may very well see those roles reversed.
And when we called it quits for the day, we marveled at how great it felt to just fall into bed, exhausted from not only a busy day of regular work and parenting, but also from our physical labors at the end of all of that.
We'll show you the fruits as soon as they are finished and fit for photographing.

You've piqued my curiosity :)
