Home again, home again

November offered some great travel experiences and some much-needed family time. But we're thankful to be home for a good long while now. These are a few quick snapshots and some lists of blessings I've been keeping track of over the past four weeks:

Wedding weekend in the bay area

-witnessing the marriage of brother-in-law C to new sis-in-law Q--two wonderful, generous souls whom I'm certain will be very happy for decades to come.
-wine country in November.
-24 hours with my husband amid a month-long separation.
-Golden Gate Bridge looming overhead at sunset.
-the Foamy Pacific Ocean tickling our sandy toes at Muir Beach.
-my little girl in a creamy-white gown with a bouquet of autumn-hued roses that never left her hand for an entire day.
-exploring San Francisco with my sweet mother-in-law and family.
-the way little C flops on his belly and swims when finds a new surface to explore.

Visiting mom and dad in Washington
-seeing my childhood home returned to its original glory after having said what I thought was "good-by" to it just over a year ago.
-feeling endlessly proud of my parents for bringing our home back to life out of the mud.
-playing Legos with the coolest nephews on the planet.
-fearing for my life while riding on a very strange Chinese all-terrain vehicle in the back 40.
-watching my city-slicker children pick apples, haul firewood, tromp in the muddy and have the time of their lives.

Our new home in San Diego
-getting to know GamizOne and family again now that we're neighbors.
-a chance again to hang out with kindred spirits we knew in Maine and watching our families grow together.
-the way a Christmas tree makes our new house feel like home.
-finding a new church on the first try.
-my new kitchen.
-the beach.
