Cute kids

More kid pics, of course, and a mini flood update for today. Aunts and uncles and my brother and sister-in-law made it down to the house yesterday for a long day of clearing out the valuables that may survive. My sis-in-law sent 40+ photos of the house and it left me with no words. I'm not ready to share those photos on the blog. They still hurt to look at. Mom was smiling in one of the pictures, so I know her tenacious spirit is kicking in and will carry her through this trying time. Just two more weeks and I get to make my pilgrimage to the disaster site, too. I'm dreading it, but know it's a necessary part of the grieving process for me.

  2. Thank you, D, for sharing your grief with us. I'm sure it is by God's providence that you had planned to go home at Christmas. You, along with Nicholas and the kids, will be an encouragement and blessing to your parents. I love you all and I continue to lift your parents and their community in prayer to our Creator. And yes, my grandchildren certainly are cute!

  3. Gorgeous kiddos! And again, my thoughts are with your family. I can't imagine how hard the flood damage must be for all of you.
