Neighborhood

When you're blessed to live on a street full of energetic, friendly, kind and good-mannered children ...

When you happen to have a giant magnolia tree in your front yard that's a perfect congregating place for them ...

When a handful of these little lambs are playing tag in your front yard when you're headed to church for a hands-on experience with our Guatemala Highlands stove-building partnership ...

When their parents agree to let you load them into your SUV and take them to your church to construct and devour their own sugar-laden brick stove replicas just before dinner time ...

You get to capture these saccharine smiles for your memory book:

And here is why today is relevant to my personal understanding of God:

No matter how many times the Navy has relocated our family (7 times, 10 different homes) and no matter where the career has landed us in the world (5 states, 7 different cities), there are faces just like these ready to embrace us when we land.

Every. Single. Time.

Can I get an amen?
