When he travels the world, he sees exotic sights, like
this.
He returns with treasures such this,
And three of these.
He samples exotic treats such as
these.
And when he returns and is awake jet-lagging at 3 a.m., he bakes some in our kitchen.
When he travels the world, we all get a little taste of foreign culture.
Thanks for including the links. I'm curious about the "buns" which are interestingly the only food item on the menu! And the black rubber duckies. It must be fun for you and the kids to wait for him to unpack his bag.
ReplyDeleteAnd he shares great stories so the children grow in knowledge of the world. I live in a military town and know that the exposure to so many different ideas and cultures rubbed of on my children even though their dad did not travel, many of their friend's dads shared stories and food and coins with my children.
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet when he comes home and unloads his treasures -- stories and photos and gifts -- the kids are just fascinated. Do you wish you could go, too?
