Our neighbors recently offered us their old play set and Nick spent the weekend tearing it down, hefting the pieces across the fence and reassembling them in our back yard.
The big kids spent about six solid hours this afternoon swinging, sliding and climbing on it. They even made the top floor into their very own treehouse.
Naturally we ate a picnic dinner in the treehouse tonight to welcome the weathered and loved structure into our family.
It will be well loved here, don't you think?
What a great place for a picnic! I'd say, that treehouse is lucky! :)
ReplyDeleteo.k. when did our Calvin become farmer John??? You must come back to California there is a intervention waiting.... Right???
ReplyDeleteLove you guys!
ReplyDeleteVery cool - show us more pictures of the treehouse!
ReplyDeleteN: That's too funny! C was actually out of pants and the overalls were all that was left in the closet (he even wore them to church -- gasp!). I think it's funny you didn't mention anything about Nick's flattering ensemble.
ReplyDeleteC: I should take some more descriptive photos. It's not really a treehouse, but more of a platform on our swing set. Pretty fun backdrop for imaginative play.
