One month

This tiny person is a whole month old today.

I like him.

I like him very much.

While baby HP has been working out his place in the outside world, the outside world has bombarded us with rainstorm after ridiculously blustery rainstorm.

Coastal gusts quite literally swept little C off of his feet on the trek from our car to big sister's classroom at the community center this week. It's a lucky thing I had a good grip on his hand.

L, on the other hand, is all about this weather. She lurches for the umbrella and her rain boots whenever the skies grow dark.

Perhaps she has a little of the Pacific Northwest in her after all.

  1. Oh, a girl after my own heart! Missouri has it's fair share of stormy weather, and I'm a bit jealous of CA's severity right now. Not jealous of the *truly* dangerous parts, but the dark clouds, gusty rain, and thundering noise? Yes, please.

By the way, I love baby Henry's carrier! It looks feminine enough for a sweet mama to wear, but somehow perfect for a boy to be cradled in, as well.

  2. I remember *loving* those big storms when I was a kid, too. But, just the same, I'm glad you were hanging on tight to C. That sounds like quite a wind!

Oh, and sweet little H. He looks like such a precious little guy!

  3. What an adventurous little girl you have! And the baby is a month old?! These babies are growing too quickly!

  5. Very nice pictures of the kids this week. Little HP is changing indeed. I don't recognize him now and I can't really see any obvious resemblance to you or his sibs. He is just precious in his own way. I love the picture of L dripping wet with quite a content smile. And the 2 kids looking out at the sea during stormy weather. I'll bet you have lots to teach them during these unusual days. Love to you all.
