Abundant mosquitoes and mildly allergic reactions to them -- something none of us will miss about the south. During the past week, poor little C has had several bites. This one and a separate one behind his ear earlier this week swelled to alarming blisters. And just a few days before, a mess of fire ants found my naked feet and two bites made my left foot puff to seemingly twice its size, leaving me hobbling for an entire day. These are just the latest in a string of bug incidents I hope to leave far, far behind very soon.
