N returned from the Pacific at the end of last week a little more tan, toting a broken cell phone (smooshed by a surly golf cart) and sea-urchin spikes in his feet compliments of an unfortunate surf-board dismounting location. He had a fabulous time but it's always great to be home. The trip produced a bright pink ukulele for L, which she proudly strums while singing "Tingaleo, come little donkey come."
Also this weekend, I had my second softball practice--a little less rusty this week--and we're ready for the big tournament next Saturday. I'm having so much fun with this that I ran out and bought new cleats last week. It's great to be athletic again!
Our dear neighbor P, who is our surrogate grandmother, too, brought over an ice cream tub filled with plastic golf balls for the kiddos yesterday, after cleaning out her church Sunday school rooms last week. What a great toy! We can load them in the dump truck, then dump them out and L can launch them across the house with little chance of breaking anything or anyone.
C is standing on his own, but has yet to take a step. Today he had lots of practice getting up and down at the library downtown. Once he gains a little confidence, there's no stopping him.
Miss L is trying her hand at photography. She loves snapping away with our old digital camera and she comes up with some interesting shots.
Miss L is so cute in being intent on her digital camera. What a great idea. Immediate feedback on her technique and no cost incurred in printing. Little L is soooooo cute. I love his wayward hair! I can't wait to get my hands on those sweet babies again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute family! I love the sing-along!
