Seuss

It seems like Dr. Seuss has suddenly leaped beyond the boundaries of children's literature and claimed a solid footing in the art world.

We see his serigraphs and reproduced sculptures in galleries all over the place these days. A matted print of a the title frame from "Hop on Pop" goes for $350 and someone said one of the much larger framed panels can draw something like $27,000. Egad!

We frequent one particular art gallery on our island because L and C adore the rainbow of whimsical Seuss works they sell there. Plus there are a couple of cozy chairs and stuffed characters there that just beg us to plop down with "Green Eggs and Ham" and step into that zany world of all things silly and rhymey.
