In case anyone has watched national news today and has seen that swath of red warning us of hurricane activity over our part of the country, here's an update as of Wednesday morning. Tropical Storm Fay is headed up the Atlantic coast of Florida, but it has weakened some. It may gain strength as it heads out over the ocean today, but we'll just have to wait and see.
The kids and I are headed out this morning to pick up a few "just-in-case" supplies so we'll be prepared for power outages over the next few days. We get those just about any time there's a big storm anyway.
Meanwhile, N is still out west with the P-3 and his squadron doesn't want him back until the storm passes, so we're holding down the fort (hopefully not literally) while he continues this unexpected time of house-hunting for the family, which is a nice side benefit of all of this.
I'll keep you posted. We'll be just fine.
Of course I was praying for you guys all evening and I'll keep it up until Fay has done her thing and moved on. Cuddle with the kids for me.
ReplyDeleteI wish you could all just come stay with us and wait for Fay to pass!
