The apricot experiment

"Hmm...what do we have here? Squishy."

"Let's give it the ole mouth test."

"Is this something I like?"

"Let's roll it around the tongue a bit, spit it out and see."

"Yeah. I like it. I like this squishy thing."

"OK. Let's squeeze it really hard and see if I still like it then."

"Yep. Still tastes sweet."

"I'd like some more, please."

"Thank you!"

...

Meanwhile, in another corner of the room, she was working on a book report.

So was he.

Until...

"Hey look, mama's taking pictures. Quick! Let's do something cute."

"Come on, guys, I'm eating here."

Who can blame them? I can't resist those oh-so-kissable fuzzy blonde feathers either.

The end.

(It should be noted that when the apricot had finally disintegrate, HP wailed and wailed while a retrieved another piece from the kitchen. As long as it's not pureed and delivered on the end of a spoon, he's into eating.)

  1. It looks like his eating is going to be a messy one all the time...Good luck with the extra laundry...But I am sure its going to be lots of fun.

  2. OMG. How cute is that? I think in modern mama terms you are encouraging "baby led feeding". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVBdMDl4RXo

These kids are so precious and huggable. I love how you take the time to capture these moments in your mama life. L and C doing book reports!! Please tell them Nana loves them and misses them.

  3. Aw, H is simply adorable...as are the big two, of course ;) And I think he's a smarty for not enjoying the spoon-feeding. It took me a kid, but the BLS worked like magic for the others!
