Spring in his step

There's something different about this boy today -- a sparkle in his eye, extra curve to his smile.

And why shouldn't there be?

Last night, he earned his bobcat badge.

And today, it turns out he has his first ever loose tooth.

It also doesn't hurt that he's on the good side of a four-day weekend and there's a fresh blanket of snow on the ground.
