When Papa first steps off of the plane and Mama gives the go ahead, there's a burst of sprinting limbs followed by a collapse into large, waiting arms.
Much hugging and lip-kissing ensues.
Then the baby finally catches up. He doesn't want to let go for a long, long time.
Then comes the wrestling and some nervous fiddling with Papa's funny uniform and accessories.
The baby continues to hang on.
Finally: A full report on all that went on while Papa was overseas.
(The baby hasn't let go for even a second.)
Then all is right with the world and life can continue as normal.

:)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy he is home and the family is whole again. Love you guys.
ReplyDeleteI love those crazy homecoming moments! The ones where you can't get enough of each other and the whole family turns into one big pile of snuggles. I'm so glad he's home again -- and this time I hope he'll stay awhile!
