I need some input here. I am currently taking a writing course (more on this later) and for an upcoming assignment I need to sift through some parenting blogs. Do you have favorite blogs about motherhood or daddyhood or any that offer great parenting-related info? I'm specifically looking for those that use contributing writers, i.e. magazine-style formats with posts from various people instead of first-person blogs such as mine. I'd appreciate any links you have to share. Thank you!
Today is L's cooking class day and I think C is starting to come down with yet another annoying cold, so I'm in a rush to get this out.
Wait...What's that I hear you saying? You're desperate for a glimpse of another gratuitous photo of my adorable children? Well, why didn't you just came out and say so. Here you go:
He says: "Hold you. Ti-ter."
She obliges, wrapping arms around his middle and heaving upward.
He anchors legs around her hips.
Both giggle.
She gets tired and plops him down.
He says: "More hold you."
She repeats the pattern.
And, yes, those are all the barrettes we own, pinned up in L's tangled tresses.
Not sure it quite fits...but I love Rixa's blog...rixarixa.blogspot. I think you already know of Montessori by Hand (whatever it's called now...). If I think of more I'll report back!

ReplyDeletea new favorite of mine.
They hire writers quite often...you should apply!
I can't help with blog spots at this moment but I can say that is the cutest picture yet of the cutest sibs ever...
ReplyDeleteOK. Now that I've gotten past the cute photo, I'm sure you're remembering Conversion Diary which has a very fascinating interview today. I must admit, I really resonated with some of the interviewee's insights. Commitment vs choice. Intimate love with our Creator. Fighting one's conscience. Finding that place of total peace and joy. I'm so glad you're seriously working toward finding a market for your gifted writing.
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, Nana for compliments. Yes, I consider the CD blog a great source of food for spiritual thinking each day. Amazing, that woman!
ReplyDeleteJen--I love rixa's insights into birth and will pass on her link to friends who would enjoy reading her, too.
Julie--I like mamaspeaks so far and I, too, think they should hire me as a freelancer. ;)
Thanks to you each for reading and encouraging!
I don't have any blog suggestions but I'm really glad you're taking that course. I can't wait to hear more about it.
ReplyDeleteHey D - I don't read many parenting blogs, but I have to say that my favorite by far is yours :)
ReplyDeleteC.

ReplyDeleteThank you!
